A cotton thread for gingival retraction in various dental procedures, most commonly for impressions, and in the need to retract gingival tissue for the fabrication of restorations.
The action of the product is mechanical, through its interposition between the free gingival margin and the tooth surface.
Normal tissue moisture, water, or gingival retraction solution causes the braided wire to pull away the gingival tissue.
